OK, this is what I was told years ago. To go to college and learn high tech because that was the future for us. How interesting say me. Well, China is interested in buying from us materials most raw. Yeah, things like wood and soy.
Do not believe you need a PhD to become a lumber jack - not now anyway. This was advice most poor. Most of those high paying high tech jobs got out source. They have a guy overseas making less than our minimum wage. However, sawmills are busy sawing. Also, there is hiring in mines.
Last month there were 95,000 jobs gone. Sadly, many still think high tech is the answer.
