Back in the 1950's computers were giant machines full of vacuum tubes that used a lot of energy. Slowly, we saw computer power grow. Today, they are small and very fast, but at one time they were big, slow, and very expensive. Leaps of technology did not occur in all areas. For example, there are no batteries that least a year. I would be happy with a battery that lasted a week or a day even. Fact is we are still stuck on a few hours until we make a break through in technology that will free us.
