They call them starter castles, even hummer houses, but the giant SUV on you block is nothing compare to the mcmansions being built back in 2005. People would buy three homes next to each other, tear all three down and in their place build a modern mega palace.
McMansion backlash is coming due to anger over excessive exec pay. That was what helped fuel this crisis. People at the top getting megapay, while at the bottom pay was near minimum wage.
