cash 4 clunkers?
The cash for clunkers program ran out of cash in just a few days. It sounds like a joke, or something out of a movie. Well, so guess you have to take that rusted out old car to the junk yard after all.
When are we going to hear the truth?

exxxon profits down 66%
It is sunset for the oil giant. The profit at exxon are down 66% due to a ruin in our economy. This economic recession is hurting us all. The so call recovery never happens, but people keep say "prosperity is just around the corner". Reminds me of the 1930's great depression.

Dangers we face from outer space
Here are some dangers we face coming at us from outer space. OK so we already knew about comets and asteroids, but what about a collapsar? Folks one asteroid could signify to us the end of life as we live it or an ELE as in Extinction Level Event.

home sales rise 11%
They say US homes sales are up 11%. However, they are down 28% from same month last year. Banks are not willing to loan money and more people are out of work. This does not look good people.

False rally continues
Today was a down day for the dow, but hope for a recovery is gaining and investors are throwing money down a rate hole. This economy is in shambles as warren say, but we need a big event to pull us out.
In the 30's it was WWII that pull the world out of a depression. There needs to be an event similar in magnitude to pull us out of our severe economic recession.

Monolith on moon
Buzz Aldrin says there is a monolith on moon on mars. It seems this space man is a bit spacey.

ug99 is ug-ly
Wheat rust fungus ug99 could wipe out over 80% of global grain crop. This fungus would cause starvation on a planetary scale. Right now in Africa it is spreading to the Middle East and could threaten europe soon.
California budgets talks are postpone. Actually, gov arnold is playing politics while rome burns, or in this case sacramento.

world of 2050
Time magazine has an article on world of 2050. OK we are seeing many new technologies now that are being developed, but the world of the future is a mystery to many. What will we wear, eat, drive. Will there be flying cars and men on mars?

moscow sees a new cold war
The meeting of Obama and Putin in moscow did not go well. It is now obvious that we are looking at a new cold war. John Titor did warn us that russia would attack america. Fools are not aware of our current danger. When they wake up it will be too late.

Office web vs Google Docs
OK in a fight to be king, Office will come out with a free web version. Who will win in a war of Microsoft Office vs Google Docs? Here is news from an unlikely source - John Titor said that in 2036, both microsoft and yahoo were gone.

Budget deficit over one trillion
For the first time in history, our budget deficit is over one trillion. This means we must print more green pieces of paper. They are doing a weimar germany type hyper inflation. Expect gold to go up in price.

saving a penny
A penny save is a penny earn. It will take a lot more than pennies to bail out one of americas biggest states. This is now more pain for its residents as our economic crisis worsens.
California leaders face tough choices in narrowing closing the state's $26 billion budget deficit. There is more money in raising taxes, but also less services.

sony was cool a long time ago
If we did time travel three decades into the past, we would find that sony was cool a long time ago. They had the sony walkman that allows people to run and carry cassette tapes while listening to music. This product was a stellar seller.
Sadly, they do not have anything to compete with an ipod. The company is losing market share and going down across the board.

Bears are back
The bull run on Wall Street is over; many got gored by the running bulls, but the bears are back. In a move that seems silly to many, analysts are predicting a downward move as rising prices will cut retail sales even further.

more oil speculation
OK some say more oil speculation is good. I believe that paying more at pump is bad, but what do we know. It could be a case that as we pay more, people buy more efficient cars and cause less damage to our fragile environment.

more stim?
Politicians want more stimulus to prop up economy. Well, the legs are giving out and the stock market continues to tumble. It is obvious we cannot shock this patient back into life. He is flatlining.

recession worry crushes stocks
Stocks are falling on a new recession worry. Actually, we never left the recession, but seem to be sinking ever deeper into the mire. Expect more stimulus bills in a sad attempt to pull us out of the quick sand that we are sinking into.

depressing news
June jobs report is depressing. It show that there is pain. Not only are few people working, but those lucky enough to have jobs are seeing fewer hours and less pay per hour. It is this dynamic that causes states to get less money from sales tax. Sadly, states are now forced to cut jobs and increase taxes to balance their book.

Gold in our future?
Back in the Great Depression our gov confiscated our gold. Could it happen again? In an answer - yes. There are many reasons to grab gold. I believe that money, jewels, and gold stored in a bank vault are not - SAFE.
The times we are now moving into are very scary. It is a period of peril like no other. Expect the unexpected. Gold should be in a safe place.

House prices continue to fall, foreclosures are up
It is as if we are in a horror movie where things keep getting worse. Unemployment up at a 26 year high, number of real estate home foreclosures are at record high, and now number people unemployed over six month is at a record high. This economy is in shambles as warren buffet said. In fact, we are sinking even as we speak.

Apollo 40 years ago
40 years ago in 1969 Apollo 11 claims to have gone to the moon. There are many Apollo moon hoax claims. However, my question is this - why is it that we are not going now in 2009 if we have better technology than back then?
