Blockbuster CEO is getting heat for poor earnings. Yet, rival red box is a max success. Why is this so? OK now we need to understand that Blockbuster went all a gaga for blue ray. That is a strategy that does not pay. Most people still have the old DVD and are happy with lo res. BB wanted people to transition to hi res and massive wall screens. That may yet come. However, not fast enough because Blockbuster is running out of money.
